The service was great, the breakfast was quick. The room with wifi was good value. Location: the hotel was close enough to the surrounding areas and the old poolside cafe-now called Thirsty Flamingo: )

The effervesent friendlieness of the Staff. They obviously like the environment they work in and it reflects heavily on the running of the resort. I note that staff are rewarded for being monthly and annual winners. This type of reward will have staff wanting to be a winner thus will sell the resort to people who are staying for a holiday.
The weather ........ only joking

The location was comfortable and handy, at a moderate distance from a heritage-listed botanic garden. We had a brand-new room, also there were a balcony and a lounge.

This hotel was located in a central area near to cairns for a residential block with QLD TAFE and the main areas of traffic. The staff were amicable and flexible hole time of my stay. Lots of food items served for quick and comprehensive breakfast.

Rooms were refurbished and were very modern and clean. Great pool areas. Close to airport and city if driving. Lots of nice sitting areas around the hotel. Staff were prompt when we complained about noisy children running through the complex at 10.30pm.
Gardens in some places were in need of a tidy. This is a huge hotel with over 400 rooms so if you need a good nights sleep ask to be put away from groups if you want a good nights sleep.

The staff were great. Great atmosphere! Room to move and option of pools. Other guests are happy!
The toilet made a horrible noise when flushed, the hair dryer look as though it had been dropped. Water splashed out under shower door and made whole bathroom wet! Had to ask for more towels to clean up the water. Fridge rattled all night and I couldn't see any smoke alarm in the room. But these things didn't bother me too much.

Friendly staff, great value for money.
Grounds could have been tidier, needed a good sweeping up all round, bit scary walking around the area at night, saw someone in a house across the road selling drugs, also people sitting on the pavements drinking, not the best of areas. The only reason I would not recommend hotel to my friends/family would be because of the above comments.

We were there on an overnight and for the convenience of the airport for an early departure. As was advised at time of booking, this was a non-refurbished room, hence the reasonable tariff.

Reception staff (Francis) was very good.
Everything - it was revolting. We left after 1 night and found alternative accommodation. Would never return. Foul. In fairness, they did give us a refund.

Decent option for one night in Cairns with decent value for money. The shower had great pressure, making it refreshing. Consider asking for a room away from the pool for better quiet time.
